Greetings!

There is something very nice about getting a card from the company signed by the staff. That is a touch of class.

That surprises me, Chip.

I'm sure you're on their mailing list, did they just somehow not have your current address? Perhaps their original shipping address for your Mk1 is no longer valid?

All clients were sent a card, but the postal service are pretty much at their worst at xmas. There's a lot of scope for a card to get lost between the UK and the US.

Anyway, belated Christmas Greetings!

I just checked with them, and they had my old work address... :( I already asked to have my address updated a few months back, but I guess they forgot. :P

I got my Xmas card, but not my AR faceplate yet... Support says it went out on the 27th of November and to get back to them if it doesn't get here by this week. I'm sending off a mail to them today... The card was very cool, though...

Could somebody scan their card in and post it on the bbs so I can see what I missed?

I hope they don't mind me posting it here...
It's much better in real life than the scan portrays...

Sorry for the low quality, it didn't take the upload when it was over 100k...

For those who haven't yet gathered this:

There are different fronts for the cards, each one is a different one of Toby's visuals. These cards were all from one of Toby's previous projects. I don't know how many different ones were made.

Well, I got a blue-and-turquoise one with a different pattern.

I suspect the colour of the pattern depends on the face plate colour you ordered.

Doncha just love the guys at empeg!

Umm, it was a little more random than that :) I think we used four designs, although Toby has more variations than that.

Damn! That one backfired on me then!

PS. Now if you'd been canny Rob, you'd have kept schtumm .... and then eveyone would have been convinced of your God-like, eye-for-the-all-important-detail abilities

The cards are from my original Pangaean range. 6,000 were produced in six different designs way back in 1997.

You can view the range at: http://www.orogenic.net/cards.htm

The cards are all produced from Prolux visuals, the high-res and colour version of the Grampian visual on the empeg.

Many of my flyer designs use the cards as a starting point. These can be seen at: http://www.orogenic.net/flyers.htm

I still have some of the greetings cards left if anybody is interested in obtaining some.

Toby

The background is that back in '97 I was doing visuals gigs in clubs in NW England. I thought it would be appropriate to print off some visuals for people to take away with them.

To begin with I produced 150mm greetings cards and 300mm poster prints in low volumes - They sold very well, but were a hassle to produce, so I decided to go with the greetings cards and produced 6,000 of them in 6 different designs.

At the time I was also busy with flyer designs for Manchester club nights.

The sad thing is that if I had printed the cards in UV flourescing inks I would probably have sold tens of thousands of them.

Of course - How many would you like?

I can supply them packaged in the following ways:

Flat packed in bundles of 25 no envelopes
Flat packed in bundles of 25 with envelopes
Flat packed in bundles of 10 no envelopes
Flat packed in bundles of 10 with envelopes
Individually folded no envelope
Individually folded with envelope
Individually folded with envelope in polythene display envelope

(Note: All flat packs are single design per pack and scored ready to fold. Mix packs are not currently available)

If more people from the US would like cards, then it may make sense to send them all together so that the postage overhead is minimised.

Not quite sure how to charge for these in dollars, particularly in low volumes. Need a US distributor really.

Okay, anyone wanting cards email me direct - I won't be accused of abusing the BBS although I know Rob is only joking.

Greetings!

Actually, that would be perfect - Rob / empeg already has credit card handling functionality for currency conversion... Hmm... Do I sense another product line???

I am interested in 1 box (25) of each pattern with envelopes.
