I have a very lightly used 30GB Rio Car. It has remote control, and even an AC Power Adapter so you can use it at home.

Here is the thing. When my friend uninstall the sled from my car, a couple of the wires came a bit loose from the black connector. If you are handy, you should be able to re-secure the connection no problem.

How much can I expect if I put this on ebay? Should I buy a new sled and put it on ebay as a complete system?

Or if one of you are handy and don't mind repairing the connector on my sled?

I can take detail pictures upon request.

Paul

I had this problem also. Apparently there is a known issue with bad crimps. I emailed support and received a replacement sled cable shortly afterwards. Suggest you do the same - assuming your warranty is still in force.

Ebay pricing isn't an exact science, especially when discussing empegs which come in differing capacities. It is very dependant on how many others are being being offered (Supply) and how many people are looking for them (Demand), neither of which can be accurately gauged.

Now your empeg is an interesting case - you connector problem probably wouldn't put off many of the more technical people here, but may be off putting to people who aren't aware that it is fairly easy to rectify.

But if I were posting it on ebay at the moment, I'd probably set a declared reserve of $500, and a Buy It Now of $750.

Probably a fair price. And list that the sled / wiring problem is a known problem and is easily repairable, pointing them to the FAQ.
