My empeg is now surplus to requirements.

Its a Mk2a, 60gb (one drive) with a black Anoface (from 303) and a darkstorm smoke lens.

UK power supply, remote and sled included. Also ethernet cable and other bits if I can find them.

Bad bits - the drive is noisy and it could be on its way out. Sounds rough when spinning up. I also get a 'hard disk not found error from time to time. Disappears when I lightly shake the unit so I'm guessing its the IDE header. A simple fix to most, but I'm not risking it!

Other than this its in lovely condition ;-)

I'm in the UK so a UK buyer would be best. £360 +shipping secures.

Just to announce the drive did die this evening - horrible noises, lots of heat and funny smells. I suspect there is no IDE issue and the dying drive was responsible for the no harddisk found messages.

UNIT HAS NO HARD DRIVE!

Are you willing to split it?

I have no use for the face plate (I am sure others will!) but I could be in the market for a bargain none functioning empeg

Cheers

Cris.

I'm in negotiations with someone just now Chris, but if it falls through I'll get in touch. The empeg is probably functioning fine - just needs a new drive perhaps. In the end, the platters weren't even able to spin so that probably explains the error messages. I have no spare drive to test my theory and don't fancy spending more money on something I won't use.

Mmmmm, PM sent. Been waiting for a black AnoFace.

And I never did know why people will post "PM sent" to the sale thread. Oh well.

OK

There are NO hardware issues with this unit! I have test installed 3 seperate disks now with no problems. The problem was a broken hard disk, and not the IDE header issue
