I am looking for a working empeg MKIIa for spare parts or at the very least a working vfd display. I don't care if it has a hard drive or not or docking sled or any accessories I just need the unit. Not looking to spend a whole lot I am just looking for spare parts....thanks guys.

In another thread, Patrick posted about spare MK1 VFDs. He says with some soldering work you can swap a Mk1 VFD into a Mk2.

I have a spare VFD from the grzelak group buy. I'll need to find it. It wasn't cheap, but I'll sell it to you for what I have into it. This is just the VFD, not the entire display board, so unless you're an electronics dude, you're going to need someone like Stu at Eutronix to install it for you.

Give me a day or two to figure out how much it was (Paul, do you remember?) and where the hell it is.

I am almost tempted to wait on a whole spare empeg unless you are selling it relativley cheap. I think Stu was selling them for around 90 but I have seen Empegs going for 150+ lately so find it let me know and we'll see what happens! thanks

Hi guys,

mine was around 75 Euros.
I bought it directly from Noritake in Germany.

I bought two of them and replaced one.

If i can help you somehow just let me know.

I can do the replacement for little money.

Best regards,
Andres

It would be $60+shipping for the VFD only. Never been hooked up. Never tested, but it is a brand new part. Let me know if you are interested at some point.

Waiting for a dead empeg might be a better option, but not if you're in a hurry. I'd be surprised if you can find a working empeg for $150, but I haven't followed the market recently. I'd personally buy all I can get my hands on at $150 just for spares.

This is actually a good deal as they were $90.00 each when I bought mine.

Yeah, having a spare would be the best....I just missed a sale by one of the other board members of a used MKIIa w/out hdd and a spare vfd for 150 bucks! What a steal right? I am PISSED I didn't get it but oh well...sometimes you eat the bear....sometimes the bear eats you.

I am however interested in the VFD if I can make sure it's the VFD and not the board....anyone know how to tell? anyone...anyone....Bueller.
