For some reason, the Win32 API expresses the timestamp on a file in "100-nanosecond intervals since January 1, 1601 (UTC)"

I need to come up with a variable name for the difference between two of these things. Unfortunately, 100ns doesn't have a recommended SI name. Or does it? I've considered calling them "dekashakes", since a "shake" is 10ns, and deka is the SI prefix for 10, but that sucks.

I'm assuming that the weird-ass unit is a holdover from Dave Cutler's VMS days. What were they called then?
