Greetings!

I received a catalog today from a store that I deal with on occasion. Remembering back to that discussion of the solar / crank powered radio, I thought I would post it here. The store is Lehman's and they publish a non-electric catalog every year. And while they proudly advertise that they have been serving the Amish and non-electric communities for over 50 years, I could not get over the irony that they have a full online store and have had one for years.

Nope, it is real - I can attest to it, having ordered from their catalog and their web site in the past. That is what makes it even more amusing.

Ah, Lehman's! I've been to their store in Mansfield, OH. It's a great place. You can get all kinds of cool stuff there that is totally manual, but very very good quality. Their tools in particular (like shovels and hoes) are incredibly beefy, and one of the few places around that has a wide selection of timber-framing tools like slicks.

I like the tractor in front of their store, it was built in the early early 1900's and runs on ANYTHING. It has a furnace that has been said to burn coal, food, cow waste, kerosene, etc.

Edit: Forgot, it's not in Mansfield, more near Akron.
