At work with dual monitors, the calendar widget is useful only because I don't have a calendar hanging on my wall to glance at for quick date to day conversions.

I don't know whether it was a stock widget or whether he customised it, but Dave here at Rio had his set up with a tiny 100x100 window that showed him album covers from his music collection, changing every few seconds. If he clicked on one, Winamp played that album. Sort of like an "attract mode" for MP3s, harnessing the "oooh, that was a good album" emotion. That's a cool widget. Peter
