If you have a PDA with an internet connection (WiFi probably best) and want to help me a second, could you PM me. I just need to know how a page looks on the PDA in landscape mode (if there is one). If you're able to take a screenshot, that would be awesome.

If you join the developer section of PalmSource you can download a Palm simulator which runs on your desktop and simulates a Palm device. The Garnet 5.4 simulator is what I use for Palm development and it will do what you need (and you can easily take screenshots, too).

Direct link here

The Microsoft Pocket PC SDK includes an emulator which you can use for testing websites on Pocket PC devices.

If you want to test landscape mode then you need Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition. For this you will need new images for the emulator.

I got the web browser installed on Cobalt simulator, but I can't connect to the internet with the simulator. Either I'm a moron, or this is the most needlessly difficult process I've ever seen. I remember using the Palm emulator in the past which was 3rd party, and that was way easier to use.

Sorry Rob, I've already got the web browser installed, forgot it was a separate download.

In the Garnet Simulator, right click, choose Settings-Communication-Redirect NetLib Calls to Host TCP/IP

In the Cobalt Simulator, click on the little earth button on the bottom toolbar and connect with Winsock Redirection (click the Go Online button).

Winsock Redirection seems to connect, but I can't pull-up a webpage.

Right click - Settings - Networking - Winsock Based SocketLib Replacement

Or, you can download the Tungsten T5 Simulator from Palm's website here, this one is all-inclusive (comes with the Blazer web browser).
