I am looking for a way to use my PS3 on a small screen such as a pc lcd or lcd tv. I am trying to find the cheapest solution I don't care about the picture quality so much.

I have a samsung 213t which has dvi and vga inputs. The ps3 outputs component, hdmi, and composite video.

I have tried to connect to the monitor using a hdmi to dvi cable but I just get a black screen. I have read that hdcp is required when using the hdmi port but using the dvi on my older tv which I doubt has hdcp works.

I am thinking some kind of adapter, new cheap monitor, or cheap lcd tv.
