Okay, my Google-fu is weak once again. I'm looking for some kind of box I can put around networking devices so people STOP F***ING WITH THEM! smile As long as clients don't let me put these things where I recommend they do, people are going to fiddle with things when they think they're not working, and that's extremely frustrating.

All I need is room for a couple small devices, like a WAP and a switch. It doesn't need to be super secure, just enough of a deterrent to keep people away. It doesn't even have to be mounted or even purpose-made. If you have a suggestion like a milk crate I'm open to it.

How about something like one of those clear plastic boxes that you see over thermostats? I found this manufacturer. Their stuff seems a little expensive, but maybe you can find something cheaper.

Also, search keywords I can think of would be "tamper", "tamperproof", "anti-tamper", "enclosure", "cage", "deterrent".

Honestly, any sort of box would do. Maybe a medicine cabinet? See if an army surplus store has some sort of ammo boxes?

Go nuts: http://www.reallyusefulproducts.co.uk/usa/

Put a zip tie through each end of the top and box lip to secure it. Nearly all their boxes are the same design, regardless of size. Anything from thimble-sized to trunk sized.

This is a typical lockable network product enclosure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWCfffFZs_k

If you have a label printer, you can label this one "The Internet - Do not disconnect!"

Lots of hits searching for "lockable plexiglass enclosure" or "lockable plastic box"

Not confusing, just making an homage. Obviously it can't be the REAL internet box. There's only one of those. wink
