So I have read the other major thread on the DVD encoding and capture process, but I am having different problems.

I have the entire "I Love the 70's" series on my TiVo and I would like to transfer them to DVD. Since I am not going to hack my TiVo, I was just going to capture it to my PC and burn it to DVD.

I have a Hauppauge WinTV card, lousy I know but not the problem, and a memorex DVD+RW/+R DVD burner.

Using the included InterVideo DVD creator software I capture the video I want, edit it and then burn it to DVD+RW.

The problem is that when I play it on my Toshiba sd-4800 DVD player the audio is out of sync by about 1.5 sec. Although it plays just fine on my PC.

There are a lot of posts about this problem but nothing that I found has helped. Should I run out and replace my <1yr old DVD player? My hauppauge Win TV capture card?

Is the DMA on your DVD burner enabled? That is what I would try.....

Funny thing. I wondered what all that parchment was inside my DVD burner.

No I doubt that is it.

I guess this is all too new to have enough experts on this subject.

I guess I'll just have to step up and figure it out.

Have you tried checking the DMA though? I have the same DVD player as you and the same DVD burner.

I'm sorry...it is actually the Hard Drive that needs to have the DMA enabled. Check under the Device Manager menu and look up your hard drive(s).

HD is SCSI 10k I didn't see any options to turn it on.

The EIDE controller for my IDE drive is set to DMA2.

I also just pruchased a new ATI All-In_Wonder Radon 7500 video capture card. The delay is still there but the video quality is much better!
