Two new Roger Waters tracks were just released here: http://www.roger-waters.com

Not the best in sound quality (and they aren't my favorite Waters tunes either), but I want to convert them into mp3s so that I can empeg them. Anyone know a quick and easy way to do it? I know that MS streaming capture programs exist, but not sure which one is best...

I'd recommend Total Recorder. It's been mentioned here many times before. If you do a search for "totalrecorder" here you'll see everyone's testimonials, etc.

Hm. These tracks underscore why Roger needs to get back with the band. "To Kill a Child" sounds like a rehash of "What God Wants", and the Beirut song sounds like something left on the cutting room floor of the "The Final Cut" sessions.

I agree with his lyrics and overall message, but his music has gotten really stale without Gilmour and the boys.

As for converting the files, just copy the link location from your browser, open it in WinAmp, and use WinAmp's "disk writer" plugin. Then encode it in MP3. You lose a little quality from the transformation, of course.

I agree on all accounts. The songs are worth having, nevertheless.

Never thought of using Winamp for this - works very well.

It doesn't look like Winamp can handle .asx, .mov, or .ram formats...

Oh, did I need to use Total Recorder first? I gave up trying to get that to work. Had trouble with it...

Can anyone ftp the final files to me??? Email me and I can give you a site to use...

Whoops, I left out a step. I had to save the ASX file to disk, and copy in the "mms" URLs into WinAmp's Ctrl-L dialog.

Here are the links to make it one step easier.
