Or at least that's how I heard about it...on Channel 7 Breaking News.

Behold: Sedna!

Crap I just realized that article is dated Monday, 15 March, 2004. What the hell? Why was this "Breaking News". And if this info is that old, why was I not told of this new planet earlier?!?

They've confirmed it's actually larger than Pluto.

The new one is newer than Sedna. Sedna, at only 1700km across, may not officially be a planet. The new one is bigger than Pluto. There was also another one announced yesterday, intermediate in size between Sedna and Pluto (depending on its albedo, yet to be confirmed).

Turns out the whole place is littered with trans-Neptunian objects. Who knew?

Well, in the scope of the whole universe, there aren't awfully many intra-Neptunian objects.

Hey I'm perfectly fine with Rupert. It'd be a nice change from the high and mighty names. JUPITER! NEPTUNE! SATURN! rupert.

I saw the article - Xena discovered!

And I'm thinking - Warrior Princess?

IMO they need to visit Calvin's scientific names stall. Even Rupert would be better than Xena.
