I have been using a trial version of Outlook 2003 and it seems that it will create multiple copies of the same e-mail. Is there any way to prevent this?

I've seen that behavior on and off with some of the machines here at the office (a pool of about 30 machines). We use a POP3 server. It seems to come and go, and I have no solid answer on how to prevent it from happening. I've been teaching the users affected to use the 'View\Arrange By\Current View\Unread Messages in this Folder' menu choice to help them delete duplicates of messages already read.

This issue is a real PITA if you have any dial-up users with big mailboxes.

I had a similar problem a few months back -- I use Mozilla as my primary email tool, though.

The problem went away after a round of Ubuntu updates that included a newer Mozilla binary (now using 1.7.12), and the ChangeLog for that version of Mozilla (don't remember exact version) mentioned fixing something related to such an issue.
