A recent post about the BBC's abortive Ogg streaming and a recent post of mine incidentally touting my hometown's media outlets got me to thinking that some people might be interested in this:

One of my local radio stations, WCPE currently broadcasts its feed, in addition to FM, over the internet. I know: you're thinking that virtually every station does that these days. But WCPE streams in RealAudio, Windows Media, MP3, QuickTime, and Ogg Vorbis. Which I think is neat. Also, it's available on C-band and Ku-band satellite. It's also available on many cable TV services, because they offer the content for free for them to rebroadcast. It's also freely available to any other radio station that wants to rebroadcast it.

I just think it's neat that this corporate (if non-profit) organization has the same spirit as the open-source software community, and is (in part) using open-source software to do it.
