rob carpal tunnel Registered: 21/05/1999 Posts: 5335 Loc: Cambridge UK	After a day of wandering around DC I have to hand it to our American chums - when you guys build a memorial you don't arse around! Anyone in the area up for drinks or a bite to eat tomorrow (Friday) night? I was thinking of checking out Georgetown. Rob

The Smithsonian museums are just tremendous, and there are so many to visit. Plus, I need a tourist in town so I have an excuse to go to the top of the Washington Monument. I've lived here all my life and I've never done that... By the way, Rob, if you have a moment before you go, I really have to recommend a walk around the roof terrace of the Kennedy Center. You get a fantastic view of DC and Virginia from there. _________________________ Matt

NYC is my all time favorite city in the world, but the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in DC is still my all time favorite museum. One more recommendation, the Vietman Veterans Memorial is especially moving at night. The Excorcists stairs are just plain creepy 'round the clock.
