Hi,

I've just run through the FAQ for adding a second hard drive to my Mk2a. It had a 10Gb travelstar and I'm adding a 40Gb travelstar.

I followed all the instructions (I think accurately), formatted the new drive and booted it, all seemed fine.

Put it all back together and get an error "No hard drive found, contact support".

Just plugged the original drive back in and still get the same error.

Any ideas?

A lot of this is new(ish) to me, so please be gentle.

Many thanks

Phil

Replying to my own post with an update!

Found the problem - I had the drive cable round the wrong way!

But I still can't work out how to fix it - The end of the cable on the board needs to be twisted round to plug into the first drive.

Have tried rotating drives, different cable but can't figure it out.

I'm sure it's easy, but I'm just being thick?

Cheers

Phil

Had the whole drive sled the wrong way round!!!

Thanks, I'll try to get the drive upgrade guide updated with a note on this sometime soon. I'm on a remote computer out of town at the moment, though.

By the way, the drive tray assembly should have notches for the sled grip hooks indicating the proper orientation.
