Anyone know what the following errors are?

"Mounting first music partition Tried to mount /dev/hda4 as reiserfs but got error 19"

"Prolux 4 empeg car - 2.1434 Mar 26 2003

Greetings!

It looks like your MP3 file is either missing or has a broken / corrupt VBR header. You might want to use a package like MP3 Tag Studio to verify or fix it. You can read more about it over here.

By the way, your first error message (error 19) is normal.

The ReiserFS is just a warning, and it is normal. Everyone's empeg says this. Just ignore it.

The latter quote is actually three different things, only the last line of which is abnormal, and it pretty much explains itself. The VBR header on the MP3 file it's playing is invalid. You should fix it and reupload that track. I imagine that FFing and REWing within that track doesn't work too well as is. Also, I bet that it doesn't restart after power loss in the same place as it was when it shut down. Otherwise, it should still be fine.

It's fine. Ignore them, they're normal.

The ReiserFS one is because the music partitions on the empeg don't use ReiserFS but Ext2. The Rio Central however does and shares some of the same code so that is why it's complaining.

The VBR one is because your MP3 files are Variable BitRate but don't have a valid VBR header which allows you to seek properly. It'll play but seeking will be a little strange. It's nothing to do with the player or Hijack.
