1) When the empeg receives an analog signal through the Aux-Input, does it remain analog all the way to the RCA outs, or does the DAC convert it back to digital for further processing (i.e., equalizer) and then back to analog for the amplifier inputs?

2) What triggers emplode's disk integrity check? Every x number of resynchs? Could there be a simple Y/N dialog box to delay the check until the next resynch?

If it's the DSP doing the EQ for the aux inputs, doesn't it have to be digital? I'd think that the AUX input would get A-to-D'd, go through the DSP, and then go through the same DAC as everything else, and out the RCA's.
Is this right?(If cryptic... )

Ah, but there's the rub. I don't know if the EQ works through the DSP or not.

I'll bet Hugo knows, but maybe it's a secret. :-)

The line input is digitised and the EQ is performed in the digital domain. Note that this entire process is taken care of internally to the DSP, and the main processor doesn't get to see the data (although the Mk.2 does have a facility to sample the line input indendently of the DSP).

Signal degredation through the digitisation process is very minimal.

The full disk check is triggered by date on the Mk.2 (not sure about the Mk.1).

And the frequency is...?

Yes. What's the frequency, Kenneth?
