Just had a strange thing happen with the display on my MK2a...
It was plugged in at home and when booting, I noticed the startup was garbled- ghosting and whiteing out. Once it booted the display when playing music was fine. Just to make sure it was not some strange software bug I flashed it back to the factory kernel (beta 13) from Hijack. When it came up the whole thing was scrambled- during bootup "empe" is all I see (No Tux). The song display is garbled with letters flashing on and off. Could one of the fuses have just gone? All I have done to the unit ever is switch the lens. Should I just call support ASAP?

Yes I do believe this is a sign of a blown display fuse. You should "search" for more info on this. Also check Tonys' Empeg FAQ. I would be suprised if there wasn't an entry about it on there.
