I just got my Rio Car installed in my car and playing music. About every 3rd or 4th song, it will just stop playing, and no matter how long I wait, it never recovers. The buttons will bring up a menu, but when I try to execute any option, I get an hourglass and it never goes away.

I try pulling the unit out of the dash carrier, waiting a minute, and then putting it back in. Sometimes I get a "can't find hard disk" error, and sometimes it boots up and starts playing exactly where it locked up again.

Any ideas about what I can do?

My Rio Car firmware version is car2-consumer-v2.00.upgrade

Sounds like hard drive troubles. Best thing to do is to hook it up in the home/office and capture a serial log from boot time through to failure, and then post that here.
