Pop or maybe thump is better dscript.
Since I haven't seen any posts from others on this I'm wondering what I've done wrong but I'll throw it out anyway. I haven't made any changes except upgrading the Hijacks but it seems since I think around v218 (on a Mk2) to v226 I've been getting regular pops when turning off the car ignition. I haven't tried latest version (at time of post v231) yet. This kinda, again not positive, corresponds w/the addition of the Left/Right Time Alignment to Hijack not sure if it has anything to do with it.
Background: I do have the diode fixed wire and again nothing else has been changed that I can think of, except Hijack updates.
Any ideas? BTW-I'm running v2.b11but haven't problems with it besides the known bugs to date.

What happens when you downgrade to an earlier version of hijack or a non-hijack kernel?

What's your player shutdown timer setting at? Although I thought this bug was fixed in b11.

Are you referring to Hijacks screen blanker shutdown? (I don't use it.)
or Emplode shutdown setting?(guess I missed that post about that bug.) I'll search for that post & get back. Of course now Emplode is not wanting to find my unit so I can't see what I have shutdown set at. I have tried downgrading to lower Hijack didn't change anything, but wasn't sure if downgading Hijack cleared what a higher version had written, answer? But I haven't tried a non-Hijack version yet, will try now. Thanks.

Here is the thread about that bug. Although they say it was fixed in b11, maybe it still exists in some form?

Anytime you upload a kernel you replace the existing kernel, so yes you can downgrade. Mark also has an unmodified kernel on the hijack website.

OK I tried the unmodified kernel and well crap (but a good thing) it's not Hijack or Left/Right Time Alignment, my apologies to mlord & Christian for thinking it was but had good reason. I had no such thumps for a year and even had none happen with Hijack I update my empeg w/Hijack about as often as mlord posts them (I miss a few) other than that I haven't messed with the software. The weird thing is I've had v2.b11 for quite awhile w/o the thumps well since b11 came out to just a few days ago w/o thumps.
I guess I'm going to have to go dash digging for a loose wire or connection, if it isn't the b11 bug.
