justin, think an install in a Lexus RX300 is impossible? I have heard others say it is. Is your model the same where it has that huge screen for the temperature, clock, radio, etc display?

I'm awaiting for Scosche to release a installation kit for the IS300. That would make it more simple, I don't want to tear up my dash as it is a fairly new car...

yha.. you might be waiting awhile.. thought with a car as popular as that you would think they would ahve had one already.. lexus = 2 1/2 din .. and double din kit will work then find another 1 1/2 din kitg and take the 1/2 din slot out to fill the extra gap..

Did you ever find someone to do your installation?

Unfortunately, they all are a bunch of ripoffs. I needed a complete new system w/ new speaker components, subwoofers, and amplifiers. It took me awhile to find one that was reasonably price. But he lacked troubleshooting skills...? And almost couldn't complete the install!

Most places wanted to charge $1000 for installation + prices for their own components! Otherwise it would be $1500 for installation of components bought outside their stores.

Do you need a recommendation? Install it yourself to save money. If u have an IS300, I can help you look for documents on removing the dash, and for $80, u can get a JDM stereo dsah kit that fits our cars... its fairly simple to remove the dash... But if you want a professional, I can recommend you to a place, i guess you pay for what you get for...

Any ideas on installing into a 2000 GS400 with Navigation/Stereo and glovebox mounted CD changer?
I just bought the car and need to move it from my 1994 Honda Accord to the new car... don't want to have to sell the Rio!!!!!!!

Have heard the Dension MP3 player has a new CD-changer emulator for Pioneer-based units... don't know if that would work, either...

Thanks for your input!!!
