I have multiple amplifiers in my car. One of them (the one that drives my front speakers) does not have an adjustable input gain control.
As a result, I cannot use
this technique to optimize my system's S/N ratio. I want to do this pretty badly.
If I wanted to create my own gain attenuator for the front amplifier, is it simply inserting variable resistors into the signal path on the + parts of the RCA signal cables? Or is there something else I should know? Any tips/hints?
