Assuming http streaming support is added to the Mk2 (the last newsletter referred to it), it would be great to have access to streams from
my.mp3.com. Then, anywhere you take the empeg that has an ethernet connection (w/ DHCP anyway) you could have access to your CDs.
I know, the empeg already has all your CDs on it, but it would still be great to have this feature. Or, thought of another way, you could have the
empeg download the streams from my.mp3.com for use inside the empeg, using a script like this one: http://beam-back.sourceforge.net/
This way you skip the encoding process altogether. It's only 128kbps, and you'd have to have a fast i-net connection.. but hey. What do you
all think?

Assuming that my.mp3.com exists after the RIAA is done with them..... It doesn't really seem (to me) that mp3.com has a legal leg to stand on with respect to what they are doing ... at least with the current copyright laws. I could be wrong, I haven't read up on the lawsuit in the past few weeks, but my first impression after reading about it was "If I had mp3.com stock, I would sell it"... :)
