I think this has been mentioned before, but with 2.0b7's new Seek Tool, we have a good model for it.

IWBNI we had a Seek Tool for Tuner mode, allowing us to change station using the knob, and ideally also showing us where the strongest signals are.

If this were implemented, it would be a full-screen info mode, like the MP3 seek tool, and so would toggle in a group with Radio and against Off/Line/Transient.
