I just read it, and I don't see it as being particularly smoke-blowing. It's an accurate portrayal of their history and a pretty straightforward description of their music and the reason they were successful.

Of course, I could see how someone who thought they sucked could be put off by it.

It's just that their history is so complicated, it needs that many words to properly tell it.
