Nope, there's not really an uplink port on my switch ... it's one of those funky new Netgear switches.

So you're saying as I have it now, it should work? I've noticed that several of my ethernet cables have been going bad, I wonder if a few that I'm using now are tainted. Strange, cuz I get link lights on everything.
