If your video amp has an S/PDIF coaxial input capable of handling 44.1 kHz sampling rates at 16 bit resolution, then yes the same one you connect your DVD player to could also accept the output from one of our boards. Optical also works well with most AV receivers, which I assume is what your video amp is. Alternatively, you could use a dedicated digital to analog converter that accepts coaxial, optical or I2S digital signals and then connect its analog outputs to your video amp or car stereo amp.

A good quality digital to analog converter will sound better than the Empeg's hardware because of many factors including better power supplies, better converter chips, and better analog output stages.
