Like radio stations, 'Rock Block' shuffle mode would only play artist that have 2 or more songs on the empeg. It would then take these artists and group 2-3 songs at a time and play those groups at random. I know that the end result can be achieved by pressing 'artist' on the remote when the song is playing, but that's a pain if you want to do it frequently.
