Ok... for the hacker impaired, someone explain this thread....

A character called Yz33d found a bug in the BBS software that allowed arbitrary HTML to be inserted into username fields when replying to posts. So he turned his name green in one reply, using the HTML "font color" tag. Unfortunately he also unwittingly found a second bug in the BBS software, whereby in the "Re:revimwest" bit the username gets truncated. Even more unfortunately, his inserted HTML got truncated leaving a dangling open quote, causing the page formatting on that thread to look like a bit of a train wreck until (I presume) the moderators fixed it by hand.
