I have a theory I'd like to run past you guys.

I want to buy my girlfriend a DVD player for Christmas, but I'm going to have VERY little cash to do so. Her TV has component video inputs.

My theory is that if I buy the cheapest DVD player I can find that has component outs, it will be of good enough quality so as not to be a piece of crap. Do you agree?

She doesn't need a top of the line box. She's got a pretty nice 27" TV that I helped her shop around for at Best Buy, but she just wants something. Hell, anything would be better than my own Samsung player.

Any recommendations?
