I just bought 200 5mm round 5000mcd white LEDs from a company in Hong Kong - they are between £0.50-£1 each here, got them for £0.15!!

They seem to have everything so it might be worth a try. Email is [email protected] - don't think they have a website but they are totally legit and don't mind small orders - the postage is pretty cheap from HK.

I got a few keyring LED torches for £1.75 each - everybody wants one and I have nearly got rid of the 10 I bought.

How about UV leds? They scramble your eyes so it might not be a good idea to point them towards you but I thought they would make interesting interior lighting for the riceboys. If you paint parts of your trim with those UV security pens it would light up quite nicely when you switched the LEDs on.
