I think mostly because despite all being in the Bay Area, most of us live in distant cities... so meeting up is a small hassle. I don't know about anyone else, and no offense to you guys intended, but at this point in my life my free time is ludicrously slim, and that time is either spent with my Sig Other or doing a personal project. Hell, i barely have time to hang out with my close friends anymore! I need a new job... =]
