Just wondering where they got this info from and how much truth there is to it?

Remember that some of the messages you see on this BBS are from members of the Cambridge development team. When they say they're working on 3.0 (and they've said they have), they are telling the truth. I've updated this FAQ entry in the last couple of days, by the way.
