Does this increase the footprint of empeg-with-tuner? Do I need
two dash slots now to have both? When undocking the empeg,
does the tuner come with it?
No, from what I've seen on this BBS, the tuner module will be a small box that will connect to the back end of the wiring loom, using the docking port for its connection. You should be able to just tuck the small (couple inches cubed?) module up under the dash somewhere. This does mean that the Mk II won't be able to play radio undocked.
