Ok, sorry if this has been already discussed, or if it makes no sense. I am very ignorant at this regard and I did not even know what to search for in the bbs. A friend of mine asked me this:

Would it be possible to purchase an LCD (Color) display somewhere and use it as a replacement of the empeg's VFD? The purpose of such a thing would be to have a brighter and more readable display.

If it is possible, what to buy? Where?

Also, I assume there would be some related issues such as the fact that only four colors would be used... How would it look like?
