I picked up the MR814 at staples tonight ($20 after reabtes... IF i manged to send them in) and it's working fine. Nothing exciting, but it does work just as advertised.

I went ahead and ordered the 802.11a AP, mainly because I'm counting on it not getting adopted and leaving most of the spectrum for myself. There's also a large security through obscurity factor for my home network. Now I've got to dig up the Dell part number for their mini-pci tri-band card. Steaming high quality ReplayTV videoes, here i come.
