I'm using a power supply rated at 1A on my 50Gb (10+40) MkIIa and I've had no problems at all.

At what voltage? 1 amp at 13 volts is more power than 1 amp at 12 volts. And Mark, the factory power supplies were, if I recall correctly, 1 amp at 15 volts. Weren't they?
