For those wondering what he's talking about...

The animation is just there to kill time while the player waits for the disk drive(s) to spin up. Depending on how many disk drives you have installed, how long they take to spin up, and whether or not you've activated the "single disk" feature in Hijack, 30 frames might be too much for an animated logo.

The result is that, near the end of the animation, the player software is starting up in the background, and it tries to draw on the screen at the same time the animation is trying to draw on the screen. So you get a screen that flashes back and forth between the animation and the player startup screen.

So he's offering to shorten animations for anyone having this particular problem.
