The temp range on that shot was set to 99°(dark purple) - 64°(pinkish white). the cross-hair in the center of the screen reads at about 82.2°. The problem is that those measurements aren't accurate for those materials. Each material has to be compensated for (reflectivity among other things come into play). The blue areas on that spectrum represent something close to room temp.

The coolest thing was putting my hand on the table and removing it...when that spot on the table was photographed, I could see my hand-print. I could also see where a car was parked on the road...the heat left a signature on the pavement. This is so fun.
