Using the Windows version of Mark's upgrader requires a working cygwin install and some other utilities like ncftpput.

Ah, that must have been it. I recall the error message might have had "ncftpput" in it. I had a cygwin.dll that I use for findempeg but that was all.

Not interested in installing a full 150mb cygwin for just the one utility...
