I have never had a coaster and they always write at 4x in my Pioneer DVR-106. For $0.53/disc, it's hard to justify ±RW media over just tossing the cheap disc.

Well, even at that price, I'd rather use my one DVD+RW to make 50 test videos than spend around $30 and have 50 plastic coasters filling up the dump. I'm not a huge environmentalist, but it just seems like such a waste.

However, I'm glad you posted about this! I have about 150GB of TV shows I need to back up (and that's after backing up about 70GB of Buffy/Angel). I had no idea there was such inexpensive media out there, especially for 4x media. Thanks a lot!
