The fact you are getting the first line means a fair number of your data and address lines are OK.

I would guess the boot flash is only 16 bits and you have messed up the other half of the 32 bit data bus to the RAM so when the kernel is trying to decompress into RAM if falls over. I assume the decompression routine is copied to RAM first for speed and that's the bit causing the undefine instruction vector.

Can you get a multimeter with a continuity buzzer to check every line? I little trick because of the small size of the pins is to get some solid core wire and wrap that around the probes. Then use the solid core wire as probes. Makes it easier for stuff like this.

Did you possibly count pin 14 from the wrong end of the chip?
