There isn't much in the box in terms of guts so I don't think heat will be an issue.

Price is one issue and also portability. I am hoping to make it work off of 12 volts so I can use it in our camper on rainy days. I want to avoid 120 volts if at all possible for no real good reason other then it's something I want to do.

Hopefully I'll have some pics tomorrow of the guts.
