Unfortunately, I don't think the Win95 compatibility mode exists in Win2K, it mght be an XP-only feature.



Correct.

But there is something similar in Win2K. You can choose the option to "Run in separate memory space" in the shortcut setup. This has solved some (but not all) of the problems I have had trying to run an old 16 bit word processor. It runs adequately (but slowly) in Win2K; there are some deal-killer problems with it in XP. (Under XP it draws all frames opaque over text; and won't print lines or borders on the frames.)
