I don't think that's true. The message reads, in part

- Meridian 562V input switch (analogue inputs only)
- Meridian 518 mastering processor (analogue inputs only)
- Meridian 565 7.1 surround processor (all inputs)

So it seems appparent that the analog devices were run through all the Meridian equipment.
