Mounting the plug on an MK2 sled seems like the cheapest route

Interesting. I'd never thought of that.

You'd have to be pretty careful, though. The plugs on the two sleds are in completely different locations-- it's not as simple as just unscrewing one plug and screwing in another. You'd have to do some pretty serious drilling to the Mk2 sled to get the job done.

I'm not certain that it could even work. There's a chance that the Mk1 and Mk2 plug locations overlap a tiny bit, making the left end of the Mk1 plug difficult to mount without some effort.
