If the USB driver also works under Windows 2000 (not sure if it does, the 2.0 release notes will probably say so if it doesn't), then try updating to that version of the driver anyway. Make sure you're on version 2.0 final on the player and on Emplode. Make sure your PC is updated with the latest flash BIOS for its motherboard, and that Windows 2000 has installed the latest drivers for that motherboard's USB chipset. Finally, make sure your empeg isn't having any hard disk trouble.
