FWIW: well nothing actually.

I have a Dell 530 with a quadro 700 display card. My Cad software uses the hardware accel. Only when I tried to plug in a second display, the Cad software wouldn't run in accelerated mode. Diddn't matter which display it was on or what settings either display had. Unpluged #2 and it worked properly again.
